Please have a look at introduction speech given by VLATKA RADIĆ (Patient Engagement & Advocacy Lead in Central & Eastern Europe, Janssen), who highlighted the importance of knowledge for better management of disease and presented Janssen approach of closely working together with patients on better and quicker innovative solutions.
Patients need reliable information to become a more knowledgeable and informed stakeholder, look out for their best interest and better partner with their doctors.
She also emphashized that patient advocates need to be empowered with relevant knowledge which will help them to act as equal partners with other stakeholders in pursuing systemic solutions for better health outcomes.
