The length of time between appointments depends on the stability of your condition. Before your appointment, your doctor will ask for blood tests to carried out to see if there are any changes in the disease, and will usually review the results with you. You may be examined to check for a swollen spleen or lymph nodes. Use your check-up as a chance to talk to your doctor about anything that is bothering you and to ask any questions.
