Because of their disparate and rare nature blood cancers can be little known. But, together, leukaemias, lymphomas and myeloma account for 7% of all cancers. This lack of awareness can result in severe gaps in healthcare delivery, such as delayed diagnosis or misdiagnosis, inadequate access to new, innovative treatments and proper care for the people who need it the most.
